Have you ever wore an outfit and regretted it once you’ve seen it in the pictures?

More than once. But I don’t dress just for the pictures – that’s why I’m not a streetstyle star, I guess. Haha! What I mean is, I mainly dress for the moment and I always wear clothes that reflect my mood and makes me happy.

We love your style, can you share with us some styling tips?

I love to combine timeless classics with more trend-affected pieces and I try to stick to the 3-colour-Style Rule.

You have a unique feed, how do you edit your photos and which apps do you use?

Thank you! We edit the pictures for the blog on Photoshop and Lightroom – for Instagram @viennawedekind I like to work with Snapseed & Vsco, but also love the Afterlight app.

Every photo on your blog has the perfect spot, styling and pose. How do you create such consistent and fine content? How do you prepare your photo shoot?

Well, obviously a lot of work goes into our blogposts –starting with location scouting and research. I like to invest a lot of time in styling and location as it’s all part of the storytelling. I usually work with seasonal and weekly moodboards, to collect all my ideas and create something out of that.

Before you became a blogger you’ve been an actor and a photographer, I’m sure it had a significant effect on your attitude in front of the camera, and the quality of the photos. Tell us a little bit about that.

Studying Photography and Performing Arts definitely helped me a lot in my work as visual storyteller. To see things from different perspectives, sometimes as actress and sometimes as photographer. But the story itself and the aspiration to inspire others, is always the main focus of my work.

Do you have a brand you wish to collaborate with?

Working with The Row would be an absolute dream! I also love what Valentino & Bottega Veneta are currently doing – very inspiring!

For those who follow your account, it seems like you have the perfect job. What would you say is the hardest part about it?

That you have hardly any free-time and you’re kinda always „on“.

Instagram is flooded with fashion influencers who maintain unique and attractive accounts. How do you manage to stay relevant?

I try not to worry about „the others“too much. There are plenty fish in the pond and there’s enough oxygen for all the hard-working creatives, I believe. If you stay positive, good things will happen to you. Oh, that sounds awfully cheesy, but it’s the truth 😉

What would you recommend to someone who is looking to make it in this industry?

Passion, Patience & Dedication is all you need to give it a go. Hard work always pays off!

Many fashion bloggers and influencers had used their knowledge and exposure to shift into designing. Is this something you see in your future?

Design is definitely an interesting field for me but I still see my expertise in the fashion business. After my first ever design collaboration with the Austrian jewelry designer EVE’S, which was incredibly successful, I might do something like this again. But a genuine design process is very time -consuming and requires lots of research–so I would love to take more time for this.

Tell us about a good place to eat in Vienna?

MIZNON – the best Israeli delights! Also stop by at the traditional Austrian restaurant SCHILLING for the best fried chicken „Backhendl“ with Viennese Potatoe Salad.
