What are your favorite Instagram accounts?

I have sooo many! But my top 3 would be:
@leoniehanne
@negin_mirsalehi
@queenofjetlags

Have you ever worn an outfit which you regretted once you saw how it came out in the pictures?

I think we all have those outfits sometimes. Some outfits can look great in real life but just aren’t that great on the picture.

What would you say to someone who is looking to make it in this industry?

What I do is a dream job, and appeals to a lot of people. Being successful in this industry doesn’t come overnight, you have to be willing to invest a lot of time (years) in creating content, learning more about editing and photography, networking, deal with negative comments and so much more. It’s a long road but if you are hardworking and passionate it’s definitely possible to be successful.

What is the best part of your job?

I love the connection that I have with my audience. Dm’s and comments really brighten up my day! Especially when a follower thanks me for my advice or buys the same items and is inspired by me. Thanks to this job I can also travel a lot, which is also one of the things I love most about doing this as it is also very inspiring for both myself and my audience.

From the outside, it seems like you have the perfect job. What would you say is the hardest part of your job?

The hardest part for me is depending on Instagram. The algorithm changes are very upsetting and you can’t do anything about it… Spending years to built up an audience and then not being shown to them anymore thanks to a new update is not very motivating. That’s why I’m also focussing and investing a lot of time in other social media networks such as youtube and tiktok.

From where do you get your inspirations?

A lot from other influencers. I think Instagram is a very inspiring channel. I save a lot of places I want to visit, outfit ideas etc from Instagram.

Do you have a brand you wish to collaborate with?

I am very thankful for the many brands that I have already worked with and that support me and believe in me. It would be an honor to attend shows or work with the top luxury brands such as Chanel, Dior or Louis Vuitton.

How did you discover your passion for fashion and traveling? And how did your hobby become a full time job?

I was always interested in fashion and travel followed as soon as I graduated and had money to travel. My audience on Instagram grew over the years by sharing what I love and when brands started to see the impact of influencer marketing I got more and more requests for partnerships.

You have a successful YouTube channel. How did you start Vlogging?

It’s not easy in Belgium as we are a very small country. I started my first videos many years ago and wasn’t consistent but I always started filming again because I love the connection that I can make with my audience. It goes a lot deeper than Instagram.

How do you manage to stay relevant in so many different areas such as traveling, lifestyle, and fashion?

Always try to be a better you. Better outfits, better pictures, better ideas. Never stop thinking about ways to make your content better.

As someone who has traveled all over the world, what is your favorite vacation spot?

I still have so much traveling to do! For a vacation, for me nothing beats an European summer. The south of France, Italy or Greece are just beautiful and so charming.

What is your dream destination and why would you like to visit that place?

It would be a dream to visit the Maldives, it just looks so dreamy and beautiful.

Can you share packing advice? What is your must have item you can’t travel without?

Mosquito repellent and SPF 50 is a must! I always bring a travel steamer as well to make sure my outfits are on point.

Who is your favorite Traveling blogger?

@travel_inhershoes (Aggie Lal), I love her pictures and her positive personality. I also think she makes amazing Instagram stories, it really feels as if you are there with her.

Tell us about a good place to eat in Antwerp?

There are so many, Antwerp is full of trendy hotspots. I have a highlight on my account where I add all the places that I visit (and like). If I had to name one place then for lunch I would recommend Hümm and for dinner Renaissance.

What is your favorite Belgium brand (beauty, fashion)?

I am most proud of our fashion designers. Raf Simons, Dries Van Noten, Diane von Furstenberg, Ann De Meulenmeester and so many more are all Belgian! A Belgian brand that I personally love is I.MA.GI.N jewels. They launched their brand around the same time when I’ve started my blog and now they have 7 stores. It’s a brand that has the cutest delicate jewelry.

Could you describe to our readers a day in the life of Nathalie Van den Berg?

I try to keep my mornings free from meetings. I wake up around 8 for breakfast and then go to the gym for a group lesson or train by myself at 9. When I’m in Antwerp I try to go to the gym as much as I can, since it’s really hard when I travel to work out. When I’m back from the gym (around 10:30) I get ready and spend some time behind my desktop answering emails, editing videos,… until lunch. After lunch, I have meetings or go shooting and in the evening I often have an event to attend or otherwise I edit pictures, work on my to-do list,… Somewhere in between I post my Instagram picture, stories, reply to dm’s and comments. Around 22 I close my laptop to spend some time with my partner and I go to bed around midnight.
That’s how a day in Antwerp looks, when I travel every day is different!
