fashion month is almost over, and right before we dive into PFW (the final week of SS19 shows) we have to talk about a major deal – MFW accessories. With all due respect to Fanny packs and flamed heels (and we do respect them), according to Milan you have to know about these three trends – belts, one side earrings and double bags. Forget everything you know about styling your outfit, because MFW is here to change the rules.
Fasten your seatbelt
As most people consider belts as an accessory that holds their pants up, in the fashion industry everybody knows that a belt can make or brake your outfit. This season, Alberta Ferratti, Philipp Plein, Max Mara and more brands took that acknowledgment to the next level, and not only put belts on top of everything, but also made them a lot bigger. If you’re not a fan of huge belts, you can try the low-key option and just buckle one right on top of your shirt, pants, dress or coat.

Uneven is the new extra
While we’re still organizing our oversized and super colorful earrings, the rules have changed and we need to throw away half of them, because huge earrings on one ear are now a thing. The new uneven look is pretty cool and refreshing, and actually works on every kind of outfit. Another way to play with this trend is to wear an earring on each ear, but different kinds. Brands such as Marni, Emilio pucci, Cividini and Blumarine styled their runway looks this way and it was gorgeous.

Double trouble
First of all, don’t worry, fanny packs are still the hottest trend in your closet. The 90’s trend is not going away anytime soon, but uniting forces with more bags. according to MFW shows, one bag is out and SS19 is all about double trouble. At the Annakiki show we saw a neon-green bag inside of a see-through bag, at Fendi they styled the looks with fanny packs alongside handbags, while on the Aigner runway the models walked with two clutches. Whether you like it or not, you have to be grateful for this trend – now you finally have enough space for your huge amount of unnecessary stuff.
