Trend alert: These colors are everything you’ll need in your closet

For the past few years, one of my favorite trends has definitely been the pastel in all of its glorious shades and shapes. It’s goes well with a tan, it’s fresh, it’s fun and it’s going to be everywhere this season.

I love those candy tones like light pink, pale yellow, baby blues, spearmint green and soft lilacs which were impossible to miss on the S/S 18 runways this year.  From Celine to Tibi and from Miu Miu to Victoria Beckham, it appeared on any capsule collection this season, on every blogger and every model in the latest fashion week.

So you’re probably wondering what has changed the. Why do I even bother writing about a reoccurring trend? Well this year, the one-color power suits from last summer are now coming with a twist: On top of the suit there’s another layer of pastel. I know that two layers might be too hot for the summer season but those candy colors will keep on blending together during the summer heat.

Another way of mixing pastel is the four-hued pastel rainbow degrade dresses of Attico. Those gorgeous dresses which won our hearts and wardrobes during 2018 only prove that there is no such thing as prohibited duos of colors.

No wonder that bloggers all over the world are completely obsessed with anything Attico does right now. Attico’s designers Giorgi Tordini and Gilda Ambrosio have created their own rainbow signature that makes us all envy their eternal sunshine.

Last but not least, pairing different tones of the same color is a more conservative option for those of us who still don’t accept the rainbow trend. For those of you who don’t like to mix and match different colors, there are also items which include all ranges of colors within the same piece.

Now let’s get down to business. ‘Wear to where’ is also a big question. It could be a bit tricky but we’re here to give you some advice on how to wear it right so you could make the best out of the pastel palette.

For the brave amongst you, a one-color suit with contrast shoes or a bag for a casual daily office look is easy to match and you always look polished. If you want an even more casual look, wear it open and wear a cool shirt underneath.

Another option for you office ladies, one that you can never go wrong with, is a pastel piece with black pants or denim.

Day to night outfits dress and skirts – Whether it’s a cocktail party, late brunch or a special day at the office, those fashion choices will go with you wherever you go. You can mix them with flat shoes or high heels, with clutch or with tote bag.

For a summer vacation look or festival vibe, this is obviously the best palette. For those of you who feel like in a Coachella Boho mood or like you’re in a resort in Greece, you can always feel freedom in pastel.
