Do it tight (and short): 2 ways to do it right

Yes, they’re back. Pedal pushers, Capris, bike shorts or whatever you want to call them. Jackie Kennedy and Audrey Hepburn first wore them in the 50s and 60s, Princess Di brought the style back to life in the 80s and Britney Spears wore them again in the 90s.  However, it was the unforgettable J.Lo  who revived the trend in the mid-2000s.

The 2018 version has its own statement though. The first type is bike shorts which are basically leggings just above the knee. It might look a bit odd wearing them outside the gym, but we can now see our favorite ladies spreading out the word, first with Kim K then with Bella Hadid, Reese Blutstein, Giorgia Tordini and so on. Styling it shouldn’t be so hard either. You can pair it with an oversized tee, bomber, crop top or a leather jacket. As for the shoes, I would say go with heels for a complete look.

The second type is the controversial pedal pushers with a crop that rises slightly higher than a classic Capri and rests just above the kneecap. We saw them on Pernille Teisbaek and Leandra Medine. They chose to style it with a heap oversized blazer and high heel shoes.

You can think of your own way of pulling this look off before you rule out this questionable trend completely.  Take a look at these gorgeous women and how they show off their sexy legs in these stretchy fashion-forward pants.

Ask yourself if you’re ready to take a bold step and push through this trend.
